Hello, and welcome, I'm so glad you found your way here.
This is the very first post on the blog, so I wanted to use it to properly introduce myself and this little corner of the site. I'm Rebecca, a documentary-style wedding photographer based in Devon, and from here on I'll be using this space to share real weddings I've had the privilege of photographing, a few behind-the-scenes stories, and the odd bit of advice for anyone currently planning their day.
My approach to photography has always been about capturing things as they really happen, the unposed laughter, the quiet glance between you and your favourite person, the chaos of getting ready, the confetti caught mid-air. I trained in photography at college, then spent my twenties photographing everything and everyone I could as a hobby, and now I get to do the thing I love most: telling love stories through candid, natural images.
Over the coming months I'll be sharing real weddings from couples I've worked with across Exeter and Devon and further afield, along with a few honest thoughts on what it's actually like working with me, what to expect on the day, and how to get the most out of your photography without ever feeling like you're performing for the camera.
